Trip to Fort Bridger

Over labor day Tyeanna decided to suprise me with a trip to the mountain man rendezvous in Fort Brider Wyoming. We invited Lance because we figured he'd love to check it out too, and he did.
The top picture is a push wagon in their museum. Ammon enjoyed himself, of course he was the happiest when he had a stick to hit things with. This was while we were watching people throw knives and tomahawks.

The rendezvous is also a big flee-market. This was the coolest thing we found, I'm pretty sure it is a grey fox. It was really soft and warm. I still wonder how much it costs because it didn't have a price.

Tyeanna grew up in Lyman, which is only 5 min away from the rendezvous. She was having a blast from the past.

Big Smiles

I just can't help myself from smiling when this kid comes walking towards me. He gets so excited to walk on his own. He's getting more and more independent every day!

I can't wait for everyone to see him at his birthday party. We'll definatley miss everyone that can't come! I can't believe my baby will be 1 tomorrow!!!! We're celebrating a week late so that Darren can be here. 6 more days until daddy will be home!!! Ammon and I are so excited.

Starting Early!

Ammon loves to play with the remote control and he's figuring out that it controls the T.V. He'll point it at it and get so excited. He also turnes the T.V. off and on all day long and loves to push any button he sees (including my computer power button). I don't know how many times he's turned my computer off while I've been in the middle of something. I finally taped some paper over the button so it doesn't look as tempting to him.

First Steps!!!!

So, Ammon took his first 5 steps all by himself today. I was in shock and felt bad that Darren wasn't there. We were at our friends 'The Petersons' house for dinner and Ammon was laughing and having a good time walking around with Dave. Then later I held him up to just stand by himself and he took 5 steps on his own and then fell down. He hasn't done it again but I know that it's in him. I'm not going to encourage it because I'd like Darren to see him still learning but three weeks is a long time to wait! Here is a picture of Ammon standing on his own. I took this the other day right before he decided to sit.

My little drummer boy!

I got my drum out to play on the other day and Ammon was so happy to be able to bang on something that made loud noises. He will be a great drum player for the next Goodall reunion!

Can't Resist!

I just had to post a picture from 'my view' of what I look at every day. This is my pregnant belly sticking out and Ammon begging me to pick him up. I walk around most of the day with him attached to my pant legs and begging for some attention. I have to be selective in bending over to pick him up or I can't walk by the end of the day. How could anyone resist this face though...

Yum Yum!!

Our back yard has a little planting area with wood chips and dirt. I brought Ammon out to play while I hung out the laundry and he had a good time playing in the dirt. He played with it for awhile and then decided to taste it. He didn't like the taste, but as soon as I don't want him eating something he thinks it's a game and keeps trying to eat it.

Craft Time

I crocheted some wash cloths for my friend Rachel that is getting married. I thought they turned out cute. Krista and I made some for the family reunion but I didn't prefer the pattern with the large holes in it and so I made up my own pattern. I did a row of single crochet, then double crochet (picking up the back stitch so it makes the row stick out) and just switched that off every other one. It took a lot longer but I like the way they turned out. Then I did a single crochet around the edge.
